pc won`t play poly tones

Can any1 help? i d/led some poly ring tone to transfer to my 7250i, but my pc wont play them and when i sent them to my phone via i/r they were in the folder but the phone says it`s unable to open the file.
Do i need a special codec for my p.c?
Help!!!!!!!!

Are you sure the files were not corrupt? You should be able to play them on your PC because they are just normal midi files, if the phone can't even play then that suggests that there might be a prob with the files!

Windows media player acts like its playing them but no sound comes out! found a few but not a lot that the phone will play in the phone, does it matter what nokia phone they are for or are they all the same?
