Default Couple of "idiots guide to.." type questions here..

sorry for the lame ass questions, but ive never really upgraded my comp before, and all I would like to know is, how can I reduce the noise coming from my PC?, it is quite loud at the minute, and is there anyway to make it sound quieter?, can I change anything to do so?. And, I want to add more Ram to my comp because I only have 128, how would I go about adding more?.

    Sorry for the lameness...lol.

my best bet is that its your system fans making the noise,

find out how many you have and the size of the fans (either 80mm or 60mm more than likely) and buy some of our coolermastrer system fans, there excellent for silent pc's.

    you can find them here:http://www.neogames.co.uk/section.php?xSec=106

at the moment we only have 80mm fans but if its 60mm your after drop us a PM and i will see what we can offer you.

I don't think it's the fan making the noise, because its coming from the power pack at the back of my comp, maybe it could be that?, is there anyway I can get a different quieter one?, cheers.

Just depends how much you're willing to spend.

Ebuyer has some nice power supplies.

Got this in a media center PC in the front room and it was well worth the money.

PS. Any generic PC133 DIMMS should do for your RAM but I'd go for 'branded' RAM. Try to go for CAS2 as this is faster than CAS2.5/CAS3
