Default 24th October - Strong geomagnetic storm expected to hit Earth

Strong geomagnetic storm expected to hit Earth

A strong geomagnetic storm is expected to hit Earth on Friday with the potential to affect electrical grids and satellite communications.

One of the largest sunspot clusters in years developed over the past three days and produced a coronal mass ejection, similar to a solar flare, at 7am GMT on Wednesday, forecasters at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration said.

The disturbance is expected to produce a geomagnetic storm rated G3. A G5 storm is the strongest.

A coronal mass ejection is an explosion of gas and charged particles into space from the corona, the outermost layer of the sun's atmosphere.

A second sunspot cluster not yet visible from Earth could produce more geomagnetic storms in the next two weeks, NOAA said.

[Oct 21] Dallas, Texas. ABC weatherman started his report off with an announcement from NASA. They wanted to report that a sun spot has developed the "size of Jupiter". May be able to see oddities of the sun and this is the cause. Also expect to see increase in electronics failures and disrupted radio and TV signals from the large solar flares. Amazing. http://www.space.com/astronotes/astronotes.html [Note: it has been anticipated that as Planet X became so visible to the unaided eye, to the common man, that some sort of plasma ball from the Sun would be used as the excuse for the strongly occulted sun, the Second Sun superimposed over the Sun. An asteroid swarm is also expected to be used as an excuse for the moon swirls and debris in the tail. A standalone corpus of Planet X not superimposed on the Sun would not fit either excuse.]

The water main in my street burst today, the one up my mum & dad's street did a couple of weeks ago & the electricity cable up the main road has gone too. Seems odd that all of this stuff is happening & being noticed at this time.
