    PS2 DVD - Green Screen?

    Hiya,

    I went to play a DVD-R on my PS2...
When i used the offical SCART cable it came up in black and white...
I then changed the cable to another SCART i had...
It now plays in colour, but there is like this green film over the screen...
Anyone know how to fix this? :|

    Cheers

I got round this by having to go through an AR2 boot disc and go to region selection, when using a ps1 scart lead.

Alternatively when its plays in black and white, (using the thread lead dummy scart provided with the Ps2) if you have a modern tv, it converts it to colour (something to do with supporting ntsc or something)

I know there is a PowerDVD on a PC but not on PS2...or is this something to do with AR2...?

    PSXgalaxy.
Like I said in me earlier post, if you have an AR2 disc, load it up and you can select a multiregion dvd driver.
You can play it from there to get rid of the green screen

Jimbob2002 - I wasnt questioning your AR2 solution (nice btw) - but the bit about PowerDVD - it just threw me thats all

All you need m8 is a scart lead made by blaze called the ultimate scart cable and it has a switch on the back you flick to switch off gree screen. Simple as that. Hope this helps you m8
