which 4001 box for ntl in portsmouth?

i'm new to all this and have spent the last few days reading everything i can find.

i bought a 4001N box off ebay with a paired card - however this was before i read that there was also a 4001NC version.

my question is, can someone tell me which box i need here in portsmouth (cosham headend) - 4001N or 4001NC?

I thought they only used 1000 & 2000 boxes may be wrong

the 4001 series of boxes are davic boxes not docsis.

these won't work in pompy you need a 1000, phase 1b, 2000 or 4000 as it is c&w area not ntl.

just out of interest, when i plug it in i can see the movie preview channel - is this normal for a box that isn't for the right area?
