Free to view Digi Satilite question

At the moment i have a terrestrial freeview box. but on our house we have a sky digi dish.

question is... is it worth getting a sky digibox instead of the terrestrial one? many more channels? worthwhile channels?
is there a site with a list of all the channels you get on skys freeview service?

lots more worthwhile chanells on sky....but u will pay a minimum of £18.99 per month....free view ok if u just want a couple of music chanells and the six bbc chanells als uk history which is a goodun..

I got a Freeview card from the BBC, not sure if they still do that. I have read on here somewhere about a scam to get a FV card. Try a search mate.

i just done the same thing, got a second hand digibox hooked up today, loads of shopping channels and those hilarious god ones, performance, cfew more music channels, rapture and another skating type channel, more shopping, bbc1 and 2 and of course all the interactive news channels including cnn, so all in all I'm pretty impressed with what I can pick up...oh yeah and Fashion TV!

if anyone knows of any frequencies I should be manualy installing for newer channels it would be much appreciated.

Everytime ive been on holiday in spain, all the bars have sky digi with all the channels.

Is sky avalible in the whole of europe, or do they know somthing we don't ??

you can still get free to air cards from eurosat up until 31 12 03
or subscribe to prime tv minimum of 2 month then cancel and you now have free to air card

When I'm not residing in the UK im working in Gibraltar and so go into Spain a lot. There are a fair-few contractors who are in Spain and Gibraltar installing Sky. The market lies primarilly with the enormous ex-pat (ex-patriot british) population living there, after that a few hardcore football fans! Spain has two companies doing there own satelite TV. Sky however will cost you about £450 to install over there (580 Eu). I think per month is the same price though not entirely sure on that one!

my friend installs sky in spain it use to be £800 for an install now gone down....they have to register the sky in england as sky dont have rights to sell sky tv in spain..but because the main saterlite is above paris u can pick it up around europe.....thats why u need freeview cards to watch itv...just a way to get people to subscribe in spain as people miss 1-5 if u never needed a free view card in box which sky can do people would be milking it in spain 1-5 + more an n0 fee
