I've got a box that's being kindof a pickel. I put an xecuter 2.2 pro in that came with cromwell bios. I downloaded the xecuter bios (4979.06) and later a few different evox bios. here's the problem.. I figured since the chip has an external parallel port to flash, I'd just do it that way instead of messing with a boot disk right away... well, I used X2 bios manager to try and flash the bios, it erased fine, but the program hung at 13% (after erasing, trying to write) the only way I could find to get it to continue was to shut off the xbox or unplug the db25 cable.

is there a particular specification of cable I need? or did I screw up somewhere?

PLEASE help!

Thanks

(ps. I have tried quite a few different bios's and tried using x2bm v1.1 and 2b7)
(I'm running winxp on that machine and have tried changing the addressing of the lpt from 278-378- and the um... 3Cb.. or something like that... no difference)
