NTL are comming this week
IM having NTL install my broadband and phone this week. I installed a wireless router as i dont want a load of black cableing around my house etc. Bit worried in case its not working properley when they turn up. Do they help you configure it to the internet or will they just fit the modem and give me a disc and then say bye bye?
Im off to a place of worship and wont be back till closing time
All depends what you've paid them to do.
Most likely they'll just give U the modem, cable and CD (don't forget to ask for a splitter), drill a hole, pop the cable thro and abscond leaving U to clear up and setup.
Keep the registration info they give U as it may come in handy later if U get your hands on a second modem.
Connect straight to the modem (without the router) at first to reg the modem and test the connection.
Then run with the router setup CD.

Tea and the possibility of me wanting to use the box upstairs and down was enough to get the splitter and 2 lengths of cable - all depends on the fitter tho I guess.
