What spec PC??

Hi

what spec pc would be needed to use as a disc server?!?

i got a little tft touchscreen all-in-one thing here i thought i could use as a gamcube disc server, only its a P75 with 16 maybe 32 meg of ram and a 10mbit ethernet port on it! cant think of much else to use it for....

any of u chaps know if it will work before i spend ages getting windows and stuff on it??!?!??!

seems a little low spec mate. 32 meg of ram is nowhere near enough and the thing is going to kill itself paging away..esp if the cache size is increased.

No idea about the processor though - guess it depends on the o/s your sticking on (i would guess its wayyy too low).

bugger... did have another one which was a 750mhz P3 i think... but the tft screen was knackered...... had a 20gig hd and 64meg in it and also a 10/100mb network port onboard....

shame the screen was knackered....

didnt it have a monitor port? if so you could have added something like an averkey svga-tv converter (from maplins)

ahhhh that it did..... i aint got it now tho one of the R=D boys has taken it home to try and hack a different screen into it

cant see one of those svga-tv things on maplins tho how much they go for?!?
