Xbox DVD Question

Well I don't think this is possible but I thought I'd check with you all. I have an xbox with a samsung dvd drive. But its kind of messed. Is there anyway at all, to swap the xbox DVD drive with a pc samsung dvd drive? I don't want the 2 drives connected at once. Its looks dumb. I just want to know if this is possible or not. Thanks

it is possible but its not a straight swop - theres more to it than that - the DVD drive in your Xbox doesnt have a normal connection for the power and hence will need a bit of re wiring and soldiering

Personally I would buy a replacement Xbox drive on ebay.
