extracting boxkey & ird

My friend gave me a 1000 reciever with a card.

Is there anyway to extract the boxkey and ird from the box without lifting the amtels(as i dont have an amtel reader)???

I heard something about using the serial port but it wasnt very clear and have tried reading the card with my elvis but its a rom7.

If anyone could point me in the right direction all help would appriciated.

looking on the posts i cant find anything that tells me how to extract the boxkey and ird with libdebug.....

I found some posts that say you cant do it and some that say you can but with no information on how....

Im not asking for a miricle but a link or 2 with info wouldnt go a miss....

Ok i already tried niagra edit but it wont work because the card is a rom7.....

From reading some posts i get the impression that i may be able to get the boxkey from a database if i have the ird.... How can i access this database?? and could anyone please tell me how to extract the ird from my pace 1000 box using libdebug?

I have searched the threads for help but cannot find any help on how to use libdebug. I have had libdebug connected to my box and it seems fine but what commands do i use to get my ird?

pm me your ird number
go into eng menu or look on the iside of the box on the scart can.
ill check the db for you.
the tool you need is sorryshakes, that will dump the rom7 for you to get the details, but only if its not locked.

sorryshakes will read up to rom7 rev 704 if the settings are correct and the bug that stops the overflow hasn�t been blocked.

sorrysakes tells me the card is a DNASP007 Rev708 and thats about it.... i think its because i only have an elvis which is 3.58mhz and i need a 3.68mhz programmer???? is this the case?

But the friend who gave me the box doesnt even know if the card he gave me is for the box? and i assume the card could be locked out anyway so theres probably no point in spending any more time on it.....

P.S Where abouts on the eng menu can or inside the box find the ird?

oh yeah i saw a sticker on the board with a bar code which reads

you can�t read a rom 7 rev 708 with any programmer. Anyway to read a rom card you have to use a phoenix.

The ird no. is on the barcode on the scart socket inside.

Thanks for clearing that up mate.....

Does the phoenix have to be 3.68mhz to read a rom card?

I opend my box up and theres nothing on the scart can inside.....
But i got my ird from the eng menu so hopefully someone can find me a match on the database.

Also can anyone point me to a cheap programmer for the amtels or schemeatics so i an have a go making one??

hi m8, best thing to do is get a minisdk

these will do all cards

i use one and it has dual xtal's so can do any mode
it will read all ya rom cards, providing they not bin loacked and do the funcards also

and im sure ive read a rev708 with sorryshakes ?!?!

rom7 rev 708 and rev 715 cannot be read and you will be bloody lucky to read any rom 7's with the shite software on offer!!

any and all software that is written is greatly apreciated.

simply if you got a early Rev rom7 and u need to get details off it, how would ya do it ?
what SOFTWARE would you use ?
