TV-Out slows down games

When I use TV-Out from my PC it makes ther games seem slower - mainly PES3 (big TV, comfy sofa, mates, beers and some USB adapters - schweet!)

I figured this must be because its outputting at 50hz for a PAL/I signal, so I changed this to NTSC but it goes black and white!

Now I know my XBox plays NTSC fine as I can play US/JAP games in colour on the TV on PSX/PS2 and XBox.

Any help appreciated.

If your outputting it via composite then your TV is not truely NTSC compatable or I suppose it mite be the chip on the graphics card as well.

What card / drivers are you using ?

I had a similar problem - my old TNT2 card outputs NTSC in colour but my slightly less old TI 4200 was black and white to the same TV - never did fix it, no matter what cable or settings/drivers I used. Figured it was the chip in the end.

I`m using a GeForce Ti 500, with the latest NVidia drivers 52.xx.

you might have to manually select ntsc on the tv if using composite

I`m using the TV-Out cable into a scart block....and then into the TV.

yeh thats jsut composite m8t wired to a scart plug i recon.

Does the card and your TV have SVIDEO - if so try that.

Card has a cable that comes from the video card with a female phono on it(?)..u use one side of a standard phono cable to connect to the video on the scart block, then into my tv.

yeh so thats the composite output. If the card has an SVIDEO output then try that. If the only output is composite then thats the best your gonna get from that card, only solution is to upgrade.
