Default N64/PS2 USB pad convertor problems

Ok just got two of these through the post today.

I can plug them in, i have the driver disk but it just pops up saying new device found and ready for use, yet when i run 1964emu it cant detect any Controller, I have put it in all 5 of my USB ports with no luck.

Nor can i find how to install drivers for this device, has anyone got one of these and can they please please help me get this sorted.

    OS - XP
    Asus Motherboard
    833 Mhz PIII

In the Game Controllers box it says 4 Axis 16 Button Controller, there is a massive list though, none of them specific to the N64, PS or PS2 pad.

If there is any other info needed let me know, cheers.....Q

Default Re: N64/PS2 USB pad convertor problems - NOW SOLVED

Ok as promised ho wi did it..

I had to go through the emulation of the N64 itself to set this up.

    Using 1964 go to

    Plug-ins
    Input Settings

Now under what ever controller number select you have four tabs :-
    1. Controls
    2. Devices
    3. Modifiers
    4. Controller Pak

If you go the the Devices Tab you will see on the lefty had side optins to do with GamePad, under this is a pull down menu called Device, hit the arrow to pull down the window to select the pad/device you want to use with this emulator.

Once you have done this go back to 1. Controls and now configure the pad if not already done so.

I am not sure what 3. Modifiers is, 4. Controller Pak is all to do with Memery pak or Rumble pak if inserted into the N64 controler (if indeed you are using the N64 controller)

If you have this all set up but the analouge stick does nto seem to be responding, go to My Computer - Control Panel - Printers and Other Hardware - Game Controllers - Hit the controller convertor you want (in this case 4 axis 16 button joystick properties) select the Tab - "Settings" and go through the Calibrate option... From here you can follow the onscreen instructions..

However as it is also for the PS2 pad as well there are two analouge buttons, just skip the second option for X Axis.

I hope this helps as i certainly feel this is not a plug and play but i am sure others have a better understanding of these things than me.

    Cheers.....Q
