    Default Poor old Leeds

You have to feel sorry for the fans, Rooted to the bottom of the Prem and going into administration.

Just heard a few Leeds fans on the radio, and to be honest have to agree with them. Some of the players are on £50,000 per week, and are not willing to take a pay cut to help the club out.

Perhaps if the team played better with the high earners pulling there socks up they would not be in the position they are sadly in.

Surely they know how serious the situation is? Greedy bunch. At least they will be ok when the bigger clubs are sniffing round in the near future.

I hope they do survive, but if the players are not willing to take a chance, why should anyone else. If they did they might just make it till the end of the season.

No matter what problem the problem's are at the club, the player's earn enough money to get on with it. They are now letting the fan's down, by not working hard on the pitch. If we at least went out with a bang, we would have something to be proud of.

Apparently these players have payments and out goings that need to be met as well.

    Poor dears.

The reality is that Leeds are going down the pan. Everyone knows this, especially those inside the club... so why would any player want a pay cut now, when they know that they won't be paid at all in the very near future.

Its merely speculation in some tabloids that the players wont accept the 30% wage deferral.
Other reports closer to the club suggest that the players will cooperate.
Lets wait and see what happens before we start slagging them all off!

SO and the players have agreed to deffer if necessary, but only as a last resort.

Well todat the rumour mill is going wild after the share scheme was approved at the Spurs EGM....

It seems that spurs have put a bid in for Robinson and Milner, but some reports say Robinson and Bakke....

The other sad note is that they are also saying that the players refused a paycut until 'all other avenues have been tried' and this revolt is being lead by Ellend Road favourite Mr D Batty!!??

Still long may it continue so we will ge 2 class players on the cheap!

Robbo and Milner to Spurs, what a waste of 2 talented players going to possibley the weakest side in London (other than West Ham). I pity them if they do that.

It sicken's me to hear the players saying they will take a wage deferral as a last measure. The amount of money these guy's get paid is ridiculous, they wouldn't even notice a 30% difference. They have no pride, no passion and are not fit to wear the once famous white shirt of Leeds United.

scott_2k16 - you really are a c0ck. have you looked at the Division 1 table recently, you are in the bottom 3.

Leeds United have turned down a £5million offer from Spurs for goalkeeper Paul Robinson and the teenager James Milner.
Doesnt mean it wont happen before the end of the week

The board should have been thought about this. Players like fowler should not of been bought.

Arent leeds still paying the wages of some of the players that have left.?

Robinson milner and viduka will leave.

Sign who you want, you are still the worst team in London and will never achieve what your Islington neighbours have. I hope Milner, Robbo and co go off to good club's.

I think the days of us trying to compare ourselves to them are long gone and a long time away in the future.... I cant say that im bothered what they do apart from when we play them...

The rivalry only really exists on matchday....

Oh and I reckon we wont be the bottom London club in the premiership... watch Fulham fall....

Not just Players they are also paying off all the managers that they sacked, they are reportedly paying OLeary 4.5million. Robbie Fowler is also collecting his weekley wage from Leeds as well as City.

The problem is that Leeds gambled on buying top players hoping that they would be playing in the Champions league. when they didnt get in the CL they found that they were all that money short which they had already spent/budgeted for for the next few seasons in wages.

Bolton have done very similar, they have mortgaged the premiership TV earnings for a few years. The most important thing for Bolton to do is survive in the premiership for a few seasons. That is the reason that they are paying huge wages to the likes of Jay Jay, Youri and Ivan just the remain in the premiership. The fact the players are on yearly contracts allows the club to break free if we get relegated, Leeds cant do this because the gave long term contracts to expensive players who didnt perform.

and from the goals the other night Jay Jay is well worth £30k or £40k a week.
