2.3b lite bios size question

Now reading the spec on this chip it says i has 1MB or 2 x 512K BIOS chip capacity.

What size should i make my bios file in X2BM ? Would 512k be the one to go
for & flash it to bank 1?

If i stuff up bank one whilst flashing then can i boot the machine again from bank 2 that contains the clean BIOS then move it to bank 1 & reflash bank 1 or not ?

Just make a file that is 1mb in size. For example, if you have 4979 and M7 (both 256kb in size) you can import the 4979 twice (0-256 and 256-512) then import M7 twice (512-768 and 768-1024). Save this and you have a 1mb file that when flashed will give you 4979 or M7 bios depending on the switch position

If you mean can you flash one bank then the other depending on the bank select switch then I dont think that is made very clear anywhere. Anyone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong but the flash process doesnt take any notice of the bank select switch. It expects a 1mb file.

I think Timmy is right about not being able to flash just one bank. I've only tried flashing with the Evox utility and this flashes the whole bios area at once no matter what size file you use.
