No update mod

I have downgraded to CR1 without any problems :thumbs , so thanks to all who have contributed to this forum. PPV also works with funcard

I live 40147 area so I dont have update to cr3/4 problems yet, but this may change. I have a couple of boxes, 1000B (downgraded to cr1, FUNCARD with PPV) and 2000 (still on CR3/ROM10 Mosc but no PPV).
Are they both easy to mod to stop any future updates?
Any pics and instructions for the mod?

I have managed to all the mods to get a couple of boxes working from the instructions on this forum (incl cutting talkback) but I'm not that good with a soldering iron?

sorry to be rude m8 but when i started i had to search this forum everthing is covered here just use the search bar..people r getting it on a plate,,u havent even tried searching...otherwise u wouldnt b asking this Q...

I have searched, but my problem is the choices:

Do I cut the track by pin 11? Both Amtels? (prefered option)
or
Solder a wire from pin 11 to +3v battery?
or
Cut the leg on the amtel pin 11?

not hard to work out m8...each method is for a different box....ie phase 1b is solder wire from pin 11 on amtel to+ on bat

there is plenty of info, as i myself posted pic on the mods.
i am going to do a few more pics and try to stick it in the files section.
so no1 can winge n say they cant find it.
believe m8, the truth is out there !

theone and davey26 could you answer me a question lads. I never understand why people post a reply saying you shouldn't ask this or that question, you should search for the answer. ( already you are making an assumption that a search never took place). What is so wrong with asking? I thought that was the whole point of forums? If its so wrong to ask the questions then why don't we just post a guide on how to do it and forget about the forum altogether. We all need help at some time or other to get us where we are. Fair enough the information may well be available through a search but it could take a long time to find it, while asking the question might get you there a hell of a lot quicker. Now I quite understand why people get sick of answering the same question over and over, so if you see it and don't want to answer it, ignore it.
Lets face it this forum is great but its not so busy that we have to keep dissing people for asking a question. Or is it?
I just never understood the need to tell someone not to ask. My old dad once told me never be afraid to ask and I've taught my children the same thing. Forums die when new people arrive and are immediately put off by being told not to ask a queston.
Only my opinion lads so don't be offended. Perhaps I have missed some reason that would convince me otherwise and I'm sure if I have you won't waste any time in telling me.
