Where have all the medals gone??

Sitting here the other day wondering what killing game to play and it dawned on me that games just dont have the staying power they used to...

Everything is about graphics, AI and cut scenes... repetative play comes from online multiplaying. What ever happened to making the single player game more attractive to play!? :nowords: :|

In the good old days you would play a game and receive a medal at the end to reflect how well you did. I was desperate to get the DFC or DSC or CMOH or VC in these games... made me keep playing the game on harder settings...

I can remember play Microprose games into the wee hours on my C64 and Amiga waiting ages to see what medal I got.. :thumbs

Does anyone else think the same or am I just too old?!?!?!? :nowords:

I totally agree m8, the best game I have played lately was Conflict Desert Storm II - Back To Baghdad. I know its a bit old now but theres nothing out there at the moment that grabs me.

I would like some up to date games instead of WWII.
