Duron Temps

Does anybody know the average case and cpu temps for a 1.6ghz duron. Cant find any decent info on the AMD website.

Changed my mobo resetted my processor (using new paste etc), worked for 4 days and chucked it today to heat. The cooler is rated upto 2.4ghz.

Hmoniter is returning on avg temps; mainboard 36'c CPU 57'c.

I am sure my old board ran cooler?

Any help appreciated.

also when you do the cpu with past you should rub a little in to the heatsink, where it contacts the cpu (use a piece of plastic bag to protect your skin) and some past on the cpu core lightly covered, other than this the cpu fan/h-sink could be to small, i use an aero with a big sink and variable fan its keeps my cpu around 50c on mid speed

i think over 50 is starting to get hot and 90 it fryssssssss
but your temp of 57c is not bad, i had a duron 1800 and it peaked at 64c and ran ok, but since i got the aero fan my temps are around 10c down.

System temp is fine at 36c. CPU temp isn't too bad. I've got a XP2600 which peaks at about 58'C but have got a Coolermaster Aero Heatsink and fan and 7 system fans.

Is that 56'C when it's idle or under load??
