Have just walked in and not even looked at the score. I predict 1-1.

Just got back from the match. Great game by both sides. Thoroughly enjoyable game and good advert for the English game (please no snide remarks about foreign players). Was worried before the game but now roll on the next game! Just got my invite to get an away ticket for the 2nd leg at the Library. :thumbs :thumbs :thumbs

What happened at the game? Put Sky Sports News on briefly and it sounded like Chelsea should have gone 2-0 up but Arsenal equalised? Wanted to watch it but the missus came round and ruined my plans...

Got in about 10 mins from the start, as chippa said, great advert for the game, thought the sending off was a bit harsh as paddy did take off looking for the foul but Desailly was silly to get the first booking. i thought henry didnt feature as much as we would have wanted him but we've got an away goal... should be a cracker in 2 weeks time....we'll have got 2 big games out of the way by the replay.

now bring on utd for a couple of games.dennis to be rested sunday, reyes to start.

btw real looked pretty good tonight, who ever plays them just has to outscore them which could be tricky

@Chippa how did you get the invite? Did you buy tickets for the foreign away games?

We looked superd, aint seen us play so well since before Christmas, not sure about Mekele though, think he wanted to go and shake his French team mates hand when they scored!

Bridge, Terry, Lampard and Duff were excellant, most of the time when Duff had the ball they had 3 defenders around him.

Ambrosio done a good job, but Carlo should be back for the next leg.

Still dont know about Crespo, watched him on Saturday against Fulham, had the full 90 mins and done Jack. Marcell looked slow and knackered and thats why he fouled Lehman, he had just ran from defence.

Mutu has been dissapointing, Parker done well but panicked a bit.

I thing Gronkjaer should have had a chance to upset them.

Oh yeah, we have got Wolves and Spurs next 2 games, who have they got :thumbs :thumbs :thumbs

it was painfully obvious last nite that i was watching the best 2 teams in the country

I just hope that we make the 1 or 2 signings that are needed to get back to that level. We arent that far away i guess but it seems pretty far right now.

Chelsea prolly just deserved a win but it was very close and who could deny that 1-1 was a fair result

Yeah, they sent out invites to people who bought away Champions League games this season. Been to a few so got lucky! :thumbs
I think Ranieri's tactics for putting pacy Gallas on the right worked well as Henry tended to stay there most of the night and I think Gallas is the only one with enough pace to at least put him off.
Now if United could do us a favour and rough them up over the next couple of games.....

you're right there m8.. i was surprised how quiet he was last night.. if henry can be controlled as he was last night (still, a very difficult task) then ar$e are not as potent an attacking force as they usually are..

i'm praying carlo recovers in time for the next leg...

i'll agree easy one with the spuds but what happened with wolves today, with 15 mins to go i really thought they were going to do us a favour.

big one today, see if we can maintain a gap from chelsea & open up a 15 point gap from utd.

not sure if we have a few injuries from wednesday although i think cole is out with fitness tests on vieira, pires.
