TopUpTV/itv boxes, anyone else seeing this?

Just been havin a play, and what i think from the off is this:

The upgrade thats required for the STB is on the card?

Everyone is saying its seca2, and to an extent, it could be, i even thaught it was at first look, but on saying that, It does look a lot like seca1!

Perhaps them goldies could be dusted off, once you remove the update from the card.

a 2 card solution? one for the Update and one for the code?

Whats anyone else think, Its still early days tho. ? ? ?

    :nowords:

    Heres my views:-

    1) I checked the data of the box before the card went anywhere near the slot.
    2) Logged the activation of the card (whole process took approx 5mins from card insert to card - cam loop)
    3) Checked the data of the box again after the activation - this reamins unchanged.
    4) I know someone else has done the same the check as myself and their bax data did change following the activation.
    5) I can only assume that my box updated earlier this week when left on for a couple of days.
    6) Therfor I assume that there isnt any info for the box on the card.

I think we can safely say these two things...

1, The cards ar not married to the boxes, unlike some other Digi systems i can think of ;-)

2, The cards are fully readable...

ok the cards arent fully readable if you can fully extract the data from the card share the info lots of people would like to know how the cards are seca 2 but there ver 7.6 which at the moment is not hacked do a search for "ucds" its a program that the spanish and italians use to read the info of ver 7.0 cards ucds will bring up some information but you cant get into the card to alter anything YET but no doubt sometime in the near future there will b a solution

    @ CON-DIGI
It will never be on goldies, not enough processing power or room in eprom etc. you could always start a collection of smartcards through the ages

    lol @ talking Dirty!

Good to see you Simeday, sorry for scaring with the ginger hair. BTW it isn't a good likeness except for the working at the PC

Like most of you i tried my old ondigital card in my box and it actually recognised the card to the extent that it put an onscreen display saying i wasn`t subscribed to the channel i was trying to view, and i should get in touch with ondigital.
    Anyone know how?.
