    Default Flash cart and linker

I've been using visual boy advance over the last 2/3 weeks, it's a peice of pi$$ to use, and has never failed in any way to do anything, out of the 60-70 roms I have I've only had a slight prob with one. (DBZ Taiketsu.) So, my question is this, If/when I get a flash cart, do all the roms run as perfectly, easily and as problem free as on the PC? Also, can anyone recomend, or warn me about any of the different kinds that are out there.
    Cheers.

Ive got quite an elderly flash cart (sorry cant think of the name right this minute, but its the chunky one that sticks out of the cartridge slot a bit) but it must be about 2 years old and has never messed up, all the ROMS run great. The internal battery is still goin strong.

The only gripe I have is that mine is a 64M one (money was tight at the time!!) and some of the games are now coming out at 128M and obviously they wont fit.

Any games that dont work first time are usually patched in a week and this is usually cos they havent been tested enough and rushed out by the groups just to be the 1st to release. Which is fair enough!

Check out Gbatemp. They list all the latest releases and there is a good variety of people on there so all the different flash cards get tested, and its soon moaned about if they dont work proper!

    Have fun!

P.S. I reckon they run much much better on real hardware than on VBA!!

Ive got one of these http://www.gbax.com/#ez

Got it from there aswell, and my gp32, good company to deal with. The EZ-F has worked with anything ive tried and its big enough to hold several games. Its as small as a normal cart, and you burn to it by linking your gba and pc with the usb cable that comes with it, so you never take the cart out and basicaly its like the gba has a built in hd.

    Well worth the money

I got the flash2advance 256mbit USB. I suppose it's pretty dated by todays standards of new Flash carts but it's very reliable and works perfectly.

EEPROM save games need to be patched (easily done) before they will save on the cart but once they are patched it's all good and there is no internal clock either.

Compared to the newer flash carts the flash2advance is fairly simple. Was thinking of buying one of the newer flash carts with all the new features but I have no complaints about my current flash cart and it's easy enough to use and good enough for my needs. It works perfectly with my GBA SP.

Good luck in getting one mate - you won't regret it !
