Hi i have a 4000 box in a t* area the box has been working fine but has developed a fault it recieves some channels most movie sky1 etc but some are unavailable also the please wait logo with the spinning disc stays in the bottom right corner any ideas plz the box was an ex n*l

hi found the answer on another group but posted here to help others worked gr8 4 me 4000 boxes


Firstly, unplug your power to the box (or pull out the power lead from the back which is easier)
Secondly, remove your funcard.
Third, get ready to remove your cable supply (the cable arial).

Now, plug in your power lead and wait until it's got to the white screen with N*L on it. Straight after this, the screen will go black... at this point remove your cable supply.... You gotta be quick

At this point the box will boot as normal and when it has it will complain about not having the card in....

Once booted... plug your cable supply in and push your card in...

Finally, sit back with your feet up; with a nice cup of coffee and watch some TV

I'd suggest keeping your power supply to your box on all the time after this because if the power is removed then you will have to do this all again as it will just say 'Starting' again...
