Political Party getting celebrity support and donations from millionaires

I'm not into politics one bit... and I know fu(k all... just the headlines I catch in the papers now and then.

I read in The Independent that the UK Indepedence party was getting celebrity backing and donations from anonymous millionaires.

I suppose it is a good thing that they exist. I would hope that people who would consider voting for the bnp would vote for these guys.

They want to tighten immigration and pull out of Europe. I suppose I'm all for that, but I'm in now way racist. I really don't want to see any electoral success for the BNP

Can these guys improve the country.

I despair. Don't trust the Tories or Labour.

ukip has been around for a bit and has previously had an electoral pact with the bnp in some areas, however their "headline" policies (europe and immigration) do seem to be about their only policies, they dont seem to have a fully rounded (and costed) manifesto.

this leads me to thinking that they are less of a political party than repositry for protest votes foe those who wont vote bnp.

these anon donations cant be too anon as all parties have to declare the source of donations above a certain level (£5k i think).
