    Default New Hard Drive Problem!!

I've connected a new hard drive with the jumper on the master pin but am getting the following message once I turn my computer on: Boot Failure / System Halted. Is this something I'm doing wrong?

You will get that message because the harddrive will have no system on it. Have you replaced the hard drive that was already in or added another??

First step is go into bios and set it to auto to look for the new drive if it finds it it will depend on what os you are going to use to get into the bios watch the screen and press the key it tells you to run setup useualy del or f10 for me use a dos boot disk and if xp set the pc to boot from cd first in the bios and use the xp setup disc this should format to ntfs for you and then install windows i hope
