    Info I, Robot

Starring Will Smith and Sonny (Watch and you will find out!)

Set in 2035, most households have a robot servant who live by 3 rules:

1 - Dont hurt humans directly
2 - Dont do anything which may cause hurt to humans
3 - Preserve own existance if it doesnt break laws 1 and 2

But one cop (Smith) doubts robots and when thier initial creator commits 'suicide' he investigates and uncover's some interesting facts as the one company that produces all these robots is about to install one in every household in the country...

Not a bad film with very good special effects. Although this is a basic story rip-off of a number of other films and shows namely Resident Evil, Matrix and Red Dwarf (Kryten's rules for mechanoids) to name a few.

Still an exciting film from start to finish and Smith is basically Agent J with attitude. Good fight sequences and worth watching perhaps on the big screen if you like sci-fi...

Going to see on Friday !

The story of 'I Robot' is actually way older than any of the films that you have mentioned dude but after watching the trailer I can see where your coming from !

There is a good review of the film on IGN.com

Well it would make sense if this is an old story then the programs I mentioned would have copied from it and not the other way round...

Good review. Krytens rules could be crichtons rules though, from the book 'The admirable crichton' which is about a butler I think. The robots look a bit tacky in the trailer, a bit too unrealistic.

Saw a good preview of this, went in-depth behind the scenes on this one to really explain the history of the books. I will give this one a watch, shame Will Smith is in it.

Also watched this last night, I agree the trailers made this film look better than it actually was...

Smith played a good role in the movie but he's still will smith (same in every movie), Action sequences were good and good finish to the film..

All in all thought it was a good film..

Now you've watched the widely appreciated cinematic masterpiece that is I Robot, before you move on to the critically highly regarded Butterfly Effect why not check out a little known film by the name of The Godfather? You've probably heard it's shit etc, but honestly, it's really worth a look. If you enjoy that, you might enjoy the second one as well as it's not a bad film either.

Sorry, private joke so I suppose a PM or a text message would have been better.

Daz has never seen the Godfather films, he has lent the DVD box set off me but is complaining of not having the time to watch any of them but has found the time in the last few days to watch Hellboy and I, Robot and let's be fair the first two Godfathers are the dogs bollox.

Those 2 films time add up to 1 GF film and since they are relatively new, i thought i'd watch them.. As my m8 said the other day -"You need to have complete silence to enjoy the GF films with no interuptions !" which with a 2yr old daughter is quite difficult..

I will watch them, its just a case of when...

Was a good film actually, sadly i dont think there is anyway back for Will Smith now tho no matter what he churns out.

He needs some proper acting roles, none of this hollywood crap that we keep seeing him in like MiB and Wild Wild West....

If he hadnt done MiB II and WWW i reckon he would have done well.

eh, how do you reckon that.
He has always been a cheesy actor.

he started of as the fresh prince, and even released that twatish record, boom boom shake the room with jazzy jeff.

some of his other film roles were indepedance day, and what a pile of crap that film was, again with will smith in his big facking hero role, even at one point dragging an alien out of its craft and knocking it out with a big punch!

Bad boys and Badboys 2, both absolute junk films.
Same shit, will smith as the big facking hero, as always giving off wisecracks and thinking hes cool.

Only decent film I've seen him in was Enemy of the state.

I went to see this film last night and I enjoyed it, Good effects... I liked the robots in the film I thought they were pretty cool and the plot was alright too. If I was directing I,robot I think I would have used the T-101 as the standard robot walking around, cooking your dinner.... not scary at all.

    7/10

Wickie Wickie wild will always be cheesy he can't help himself... but the film was good.
