For nighttime it all depends on what sort of music you like TBH.
If you into Dance then theres ICON, Foundation.
For hiphop/r&b theres Envy, World Headquarters, Upstairs in MOOD.
For the cheesy s**t then there is a load Bajah, Blu Bamboo, Sea, Sam & Jacks.
But i mean there are loads of bars that stay open till 1am, most of the clubs shut at 2/3am
Im guessing youll be out on mondays as thats student night (apart from bank holidays!)
The drinks are about 70-80p for the no name bottles but they taste all right, for pints you be looking at about £1.20-£2 depending on where ya go. But loads on BOGOF offers on mondays.
If ya got money to burn go down the Quay Side if not sitck to the big market, lods of people at both, but posh end is the Quay Side!
For daytime stuff theres not much, a few bowling alleys, Quaser Laser things, loads of cinemas, some good parks to play footie/basketball (best one is next to st. James Park)
Theres always the metrocentre if ya into shops and all that stuff.
But what i found with being at uni, you always got somethig to do, esp if ya in halls/shared accomodation. Im at Teesside and loving it, really great uni!
Anyways there is loads of places to go out for a good time in newcastle. I think the BBC have a good guide, cant remember the addy, but a simple googl search for one of the above clubs/bars should bring it up!
Thats all i can say atm, hope ya enjoy the city, it really is a good place to live!

Other good pubs along the Quayside are

Quilted Camel (Im sure Ive seen a few footie players in there before)

The Lodge is okay, but only when it aint packed (Ant and Dec own that I think)
Bar 55 in the City Centre is great for a drink.
If you like swinging your pants you should check out Flares, its a good laugh in there.
Sam Jacks is good for a drink, you have some nice fit birds working there.
