    Are there any mod chips available that don't require any soldering at all.

    I am s#~t with a soldering iron

    2.3 lite chip no hassle or you can get pin headers for most chips
    If you have a version 1.0 xbox to use pin headers you have to de-solder before you install as the holes are blocked

    i dont really agree pinheaders make the job any easier, you still have to solder the same amount of points and you still have to solder the hardest point in any install, the D0 point,

    if your no good at soldering get one of the nosolder adapters for your X2 or whatever chip you buy. its not as secure as solder but if the second best.

    Pin headers just make it much easier to upgrade/replace the modchip.

    Personally I would save the dosh and get a Duo-X chip, they all can use the exact same bios's so it makes little difference (Some of the more expensive ones have a few hardware extras, but once mod is installed they are not really needed unless you mess around with it and **** a flash up!)
