    Attention SMSC seekers

Are there any smsc seekers out there? I mean people who actually seek these numbers apart from me on the board?

I think I know where a smsc number could be, but there is between 10 thousand to a million combinations to try......... split between about ten people we should be able to find it. There is no gaurantee that we will find it, but my instincts tell me its there.

So any peeps out there? or do i have to do this on my own? lol..... shouldnt take too long

Do not PM me, reply on here

    thanx

    Hi there mate.
The way to search for smsc numbers is not to brute force it, but actually search through a list of already-established smsc numbers.
The reason an smsc number becomes available is when a centre is having technical issues or is updating their configs etc and the centre becomes open to external network users. They go down again once the admins fix it!
There is an extensive list of smsc numbers (several hundred) which is floating around the net somewhere. There are also many, many programs that will do the searching for you through a data cable and phone.
Not much point searching in the UK now as the uk networks have barred usage of smsc numbers from their phones.

Certain numbers do not appear on the smsc list, for example the o2 one i posted a week ago wasnt on there..... I think o2 must have a few working smsc's..... which can only be found by brute forcing....or by inside knowledge

    somewhere between +447802000000 to +447802999999

Why not make a script then which will generate all numbers in that range into a .txt file and then just run that through the seeker?

The smsc seeker i use will automatically go thru the range of numbers i define, if i leave it on constantly for a few days i should find it.
