Default Visual Basic 2005 Free Enterprise (Beta) edition with PC Pro

PC Pro this month (10th Anniversary Edition) comes with not only SP2 and other utilities but comes with a copy of the Beta Version of Visual Basic 2005 Enterprise Edition with some nice tutorials to make your own browsers etc......

You can probably download this from Microsoft but it saves registering etc......

I expect we shall see plenty of new verions of IE now, i'll have a go at making my own browser once I get my PC sorted. (Have to use works at the moment so my ASP.Net programming is on hold )

in VB don't you just use te internet explorer control? Surely that defeats the point of having a new browser, as it'll be just as unstable!

I just like messing to see what I can do. Personally I am into my ASP.Net at the moment but to keep ontop of my VB I'll have a mess with this.

Wonder how different it is. I'm still using Visual Studio 6 for all my dev work!

Not sure what the differences will be between this and the old version of .NET, but good call anyway mate

Its very different. Been doing VB for years now, done both the VB 6 m$ exams back in 99, and have started revising for MCAD so as to cover off .net. I would say I know VB6 very very well, but its still taking a lot of work learning .net

I think they've added new types in 2005, i belive there is a generic one so as to replace VB6 variants. They won't leave it alone
