My idea for a forum

How about a "Please let me back on DF" forum.

we have a forum which banned users can access, in which they can plead to be let back on DF.

We can either

A: Slag them off......and have a good laugh
B: Listen to them whine and agree to let them back on only if they behave.....(poss via a poll)

needs a little work I know but how about it :whistle

and im assuming u aint already seen 'WiZeR's Flame Pit'

which works on the same principle, banned users can post and get ripped to shreds by Wizer.

That was originally what I wanted to do with Wizers flame pit but couldnt set it up as I wanted too.

It can be quite simple to do just alter the permissions of the banned usergroup so that they can only post in that forum.

Or did you have something more complex in mind?

perm banned members are perm banned for a reason. I can't see the guvnas lifting any perm bans.

For temp bans I will take them into my lair and let them go when they have been abused to my satisfaction

What you can do is leave the global permissions the same and use custom ones for individual forums.

I have tested it on my own forum and works a charm.

Yeah I have seen it, but don't get what it's about??? My idea (might not work I know) is I think is totally unrelated.
Banning people is good for the forum, gets rid of the shite, but the ability to slag off people who have been banned. With the Poss' that they might be able to add to the forum and be re-admitted offers more IMHO than "The Pit"

Like I said needs some/work and my lack of English/Grammer might not put the idea across as I would like, but I think you get the idea
