I got the pre release version and it doesn't feel right compared to the official ps2 version. If I buy the official version will it be better or is there no difference between it and the pre release version?

apparently its alot better with a ps2 control pad adaptor, as the control layout is designed for that pad.
personally i cant comment as i wont be playing it anytime soon
Too many bugs in the pre-release for me to make any real judgements but I guess it will be improved. But, as Bad Ad has said, it might play a lot better on a PS2 pad.
Christ, ive played both, the PS2 one was shit, slowdown etc etc, sold me shit ps2,and aint stopped playing the XBOX version, got the ps2 pad adapter (Dreambox) so even better.
The only bad thing bout PES4 is shooting is difficult at the mo! Maybe more to learn.
My kids had FIFA 2005 and thought it was good
Got PES4 and now they wont touch FIFA
They say tht after learning the controls & touches for PES it is a hell of a lot better.
Seems to sum it up really.
BTW using standard blox controllers

Can you ask your kids how the bloody hell you put aftertouch on the ball?Originally Posted by rmj2663

whats strange is when you are playing the xbox version the pitch looks all grainy, i think that is a let down, and when u see replays of shots the picture is mint!
Ive heard that the final version wont be like this, its becouse they havnt added something to the graphics yet.Originally Posted by biggy7
So fingers crossed.
I think the beta version of it is better than the final PS2 version. I don't get any slowdown what so ever on the xbox but on the PS2 i get it all the time on corners using 60hz mode like most people.
CaptainRizla: Curling is done automatically but it depends on the players curling stats also your timing and position as well.
Here's a few goals i've scored anyway, soz about the shit quality:
Takahara "Placement" Volley
Appiah First Time Strike
Del Piero Leaves Keeper Flat Footed
Dagaka Blast
And my best WE8 goal on the PS2:
Appiah Volley
Sorry mate. I was referring to Fifa. Maybe you were too.Originally Posted by dannyboy

My arse!!I was 'King of Curl'.
I remember thrashing u 11-4. That was even when my joystick had bust and wouldn't allow me to move right!!!

The ultimate test will be when pro evo 4 comes out, that'll separate the fifa fools from the pro evo experts. The game play between these past two religions has been unbelievably wide. Fair enough fifa looks great but when it comes down to it, it hasn't got the quality of realism that evo has. I pissed myself laughing when I played fifa 2004. After enjoying world cup 98 it hadn't moved on with game play. Having played pro evo 1, 2, and 3 I truly believe that if it had the official names and more up-to-date teams and made for the xbox, no one would give fifa another thought. Remember kick-off and sensible, they never looked real and weren't that realistic but the game play was so addictive and you'd bust three joysticks just playing them to death. That’s what it all comes down to a the end of the day, the beautiful game!
Cheeky shit. I'll shove thatup your arse next time I see you. :tongueOriginally Posted by dainese

My copy never worked on my xbox, but worked fine on my friends. Have to wait
So bottom line will I notice a difference if I get the official one?
****ers
No one has the official version to be able to tell if it is going to be much different.
Since the version you have access to was full of bugs and was quite an early version then yes, I believe that the full retail version will be different.
If you preferred it on PS2 then get that one. The game is prob more suited to the PS2 controller.
Hire it out when it's available or whatever and then make your mind up.
Or ask Konami if the retail version is going to be better if you need to get the answer before the game is even out.
And why the last comment? Weren't the answers given to you on the first page good enough?
No one could answer directly since no one has played the full release version.

Captainrizla cheers for your reply mate. Basically I had stupidly assumed that because the ps2 version was out that the xbox one was, my bad. Cheers for your replies everyone.
No probs mate. The full retail XBox version is out on the 19th November so the version that you have should be considered a very early version. It has a lot of bugs in that will be removed before it's release so to answer your very first question - yes, the retail one should be far better than the one you've got and you should most definately notice the difference (keepers working properly for a start). Not sure if the graphics will be improved but the gameplay should be up there with the PS2 version (or even exceed it if you got the XBox - PS2 controller adaptor).
All we need to do is sit tight for another 25 days for it's release!
