Stopping unsolicited telephone calls and junk mail
This worked a real treat for me and my gran so hopefully it will help someone else out who doesn't know about it. Havent had a double glazing phone call for about half a year now :thumbs

do remember there is also a fax preference service to cut down junk faxes (linked from either of the above sites and also with the telephone preference service you can add your mobile numbers to cut down on junk text messages too.Originally Posted by mladen
a little follow up is often required so if you get a junk call / text just call the company (not on their premium rate number) and inform them you are on the prefrence list and they are breaking the law and will be reported if they contact you again, they usualy stop pretty quicklysame applies if you get junk mail, phone the company and tell them you will report them and they will remove you immediatly from their mailing list.

Not bothered about mail, its the 30 calls a week from fookin india selling windows, better phones deals, surveys...

We get loads of automated calls which half the time dont even get picked up by a salesperson and it is just a dead line.... :annoyed: :grr: :censored

Stoppd the phone calls a year ago, is great but I dont mind the mail, keeps the posties in a job
