X box not playing dVDs

I got an old x box, one of the first release with enigmah chip in
It suddenly stopped playing dvds
Can region x just disappear cos it don't seem to appear now,just get evolution x screen fading intp evolution x menu & back again
Any help appreciated

erm, why not just reinstall dvd region x?

I had the same problem with my samsung drive, just suddenly stopped working

It's shagged m8, get yerself a new one, it will never work again lol.

I had that the other week. Check the path to DVDX is correct in the evolution X menu.ini (or whatever .ini it is in the root of your C: drive on your xbox). Mine was wrong... Once I fixed it voila. started playing DVDs again.
