Nokia 6100 -no ring tone

Does anyone know what would stop my Noky 6100 from ringing, it just died for no reason. it is definately a hardware fault. Ive had a little root about inside but nothing obvious. Also does anyone know where the ringer sound comes from, is it the normal speaker you put to your ear?

If you know for a fact that it is a hardware fault then it needs a new ringer m8.
