Help Problem with keyboard during games

    Hi guys,

I've got a Microsoft Wireless Multimedia Keybaord and Wireless Optical Mouse set, and it's been giving me grief whilst playing games recently. What haooens is that once a game is loaded, after a while some keys will not respond when I press them, or may respond initially, but if I hold it down, say for continuous movement or acceleration, it will just stop recognizing that I'm pressing it, so my character just stops (or the car starts to decelerate) even though I'm still holding the key. I've downloaded the latest version of Intellitype and Intellipoint from MS (ver. 5.2) which I believe also has the drivers for the mouse and keyboard. The receiver can either be connected via USB or normal keyboard/mouse sockets (I'm using the latter). This problem has been iccuring in pretty much all the games I've been playing - America's Army, Flat Out, GTA: VC, and a few others too. Also, the keyboard works perfectly well for all other applications (such as typing this message), and the signal strength is listed as good (moving closer to the receiver doesn't alleviate the problem).

    Other stuff:
    O/S XP Pro
    M/B Asus A7N8X Deluxe
    1GB RAM
    AMD 2600+ XP CPU
a couple of Maxtor SATA HDDs

Any help you guys can offer me?

    Lizardo.

oE: Thanks, have tried changing the batteries to no avail before.

WTD: Is there somewhere obvious to 'turn off sticky keys', as I can't see anything obvious in the keyboard settings on the control panel? - EDIT, just found it, doesn't seem to be switched on so don't think this is causing the problem.

    Any other ideas guys?
