Peugeot 306 Airbag Warning Light

Peugeot 306 HDi estate, T reg

Ihave removed the indicator switch assembly to clean adodgy contact, on re-assembly I get a flashing airbag warning light. I tried leaving the battery disconnected for an hour, but this doesn't cure the problem.

Any thoughts anyone?

needs to be cleared with a diag unit :thumbs

I've had this problem, on mine it was the connectors under the drivers seat, disconnect the battery, unplug and re plug, batt back on, and hey presto.
Of course you might have a different problem but this was what cured mine.

The seat belt tensioners are self resetting, the airbag system isn't.
