XBMC Update Problems

Hey guys,

Recently downloaded a new version of xbmc, I ftp over the files, replacing the old ones that were there, but I still seem to be on the same version when i load it up through my xbmc and check the version.

I'm on the evox dash if that helps.

Any help would be greatly appreciated,

Could it be that you have more than one copy of it?
have a look through your dir(s) to see if you can find it.

Jesta, I've looked around the xbox hdd and i cant seem to find another version of xbmc, thanks for the input though, appreciate it.

I've even tried deleting the old install folder completely, then resending the xbmc over, but still no luck.

there was a few probs with some of the recent xbmc with certain skins + project mayhem, coz i was having probs but ive just sent a new xbmc update and it`s working fine now. i just overwrote the files not the whole folder etc. get the latest one coz theres always new updates. paulyd2k

when installing a new copy you have to delete the XBMC save from ya hdd also. Do it via the msdash.

Heya,

I deleted the old xbmc via my dash like fett suggested and downloaded a newer version, ftp'd that over and everything is in perfect working order now.
