u get awarded karma/reputation for good comments on the board and helping others.

try doing a search on the word karma with my username and you should find a post tthat i explained it all to someone, if i remember the thread was started by diablos and was something about karma police, after he got 24hr banned and his karma set as low as it goes after he was caught using the karma system as a means of trying to drag celtic supporters down to his level.

this karma thing is a really good idea as it stops random posters trying to get there post count up. Used to be on a car forum and thats all folk did, ended up the site was full of useless info!

No it doesn't stop people trying to get their post count up, as some people don't care about how much karma they have.
