it states in rules that new members have to have been a member for 24 hrs then they can post new threads on the main forum,so i joined a few days ago but still cannot post threads on main forum can anybody explain why

Certain sections require you to have made at least 10 decent posts before you can post in them, that could be the problem. It says what sections are included in the rules.

thats an oddity

actualy we removed that block a long time ago, however if you were to read the rule updates you would find that in fact you can post anywhere on the board except the sections we tend to call the "leech" sections, it turned out that many people were joining up to get cable / sat info, radio codes, legal advice or bargains so we blocked viewing of the bargain section and we blocked posting in the legal, sat/cable & radio codes sections for all new members untill they can prove that they arent just here to leech, then once you have made a suitable number of DECENT posts anywhere on the rest of the board you will get posting access to the other sections.

for those who simply wish to learn they can still view and search those sections so that they can learn immediatly.

put basicly, try posting anywhere on the forum apart from sat/cable, legal or radio codes and you should be fine but please dont think that the answer is to make a bunch of posts that serve no purpose as thats the fastest way to get either your post count reset or a ban depending on just how bad the posts are

can you please post back in one of your own threads in future, you have now made 4 posts, starting 4 seperate threads all in the intro section 3 of which are asking the same thing, expect to see your post count back at 0 if you start another thread on the subject
