Default Any full time ebay traders here...?

Just curious to see if there are any full time ebay traders (or very active part-timers) here because of a project I have in the pipeline, I know Gel is but are there any others?

If there are I have some questions if you8 don't mind........

    1) Do you use dropshippers?
    2) Do you prefer to buy bulk direct from wholesalers?
    3) Do you trade anything as long as you can see a profit?
    4) Whats the best thing a wholesaler/dropshipper could offer in your opinion?
    5) Would you like to be able to suggest products to wholesalers/dropshippers?
    6) Have you ever got a hard-on watching mens tennis?

You can ignore that last one.

    Many thanks
    CJ

Yeh i use it loads....not full time but it funds the student life style nicely without the need for having another part time job. Ive got two ebay accounts and sell a range of products, mainly desingner clothes, diesel etc

    1) Do you use dropshippers?

Nope, never. Theres enough bargains out there already without the use of these

    2) Do you prefer to buy bulk direct from wholesalers?

Sometimes. Cos the pound is so strong at the mo i find importing stuff in bulk from the states is rather profitbale.

    3) Do you trade anything as long as you can see a profit?

    Yep, anything although mainly clothes

    4) Whats the best thing a wholesaler/dropshipper could offer in your opinion?

    Reliable credible and flexible service

    5) Would you like to be able to suggest products to wholesalers/dropshippers?

Ermmmm, dont use em that much but if i did then yeh.

    6) Have you ever got a hard-on watching mens tennis?

Yeh all the time lol, just messin

Alot of my ebay work involves buying other peoples stuff, advertising it better, then selling it on for an inflated price......I find its not what ya sell, but how you sell it.

Hope this is of some help...if you steal all my customers then i'm guessing it was!

I no longer rely on ebay full time but here goes:

    1) Do you use dropshippers?
Nope, never, but as with anything it will depend on what it is.

    2) Do you prefer to buy bulk direct from wholesalers?
Define bulk, I've bought 2000 xbox memory cards for £2 each before, I'll buy anything if I think I can sell it.

    3) Do you trade anything as long as you can see a profit?
    You betcha

    4) Whats the best thing a wholesaler/dropshipper could offer in your opinion?
Everything for free, other than that reliability, sometimes we sell stuff we are still waiting on, the sender doesn't come through and we get neg feedback.

    5) Would you like to be able to suggest products to wholesalers/dropshippers?
Anything that is light and will fit into a jiffy bag. Ebays biggest downfall currently is the folks milking the postage prices. £3 to send a DVD sometimes. If you could offer something with free p+p (10p jiffy and a 2nd class stamp) then it will get sooo many more people buying it.
    Trying not to kill myself...

I disagree about the postage debate. People are aware of what they have to pay before bidding so its not like its a hidden cost. Charging abit more for postage is a good way of boosting income.

It really winds me up if peope take the pi$$ on p&p. I wanted to buy a SD memory card the other day, £8 shipping, for something the size of a stamp.

It aint a shop, its an auction. Just cos you choose not to buy, it doesnt mean someone else wont. Besides if it means paying a pound more for postage with me, or a pound less postage and two pounds more for the product with someone else then you'll find yourself out of pocket.

I dont charge extortianate amounts, £4 for a t shirt aint too bad compared to what some people charge. I'm just sayin its a good way to generate extra income.

I always put the postage price at how much it will cost me, plus 50p or so for the packaging.
I know many people are put off by high shipping prices. I often have shipping free.

Yeh but the geezer who bid for it knew that he was gonna have to pay £4.99 postage so it aint like hes gettin 'suprised by the small print'. After all, its business, its all about making profit. The winning bidder still saves money whilst the sellers make it...Everyones happy

I have found that I have undercut myself lately on postage. I charged £3 to send a Sim Card to america but it cost over £4.

The reason is because I sent out International recorded Delivery. I always send out my goods recorded/special delivery so that they are 99.9% guaranteed to arrive at their destination. I sold a Car stereo last week and charged £5 postage. It came to £6.55 but I think I made enough profit to cover .

I will be honest however, I have a few mates who will 'Bid' the item up to the minumum I want to take after that I am happy. So there is never a need for me to over price on postage.

    Right back to the questions.

I have a part time website, Ebay is part - part time if there is such a thing. We are currently looking at extending our site into the games market. We have a drop shipper in the states we have just teamed up with but if the option is in the UK for a reliable source which will work out cheaper and quicker to sell then I am interested.

Anything Console wise really apart from Mod Chips. We took these off about a year ago as too much competition to make serious money and Paypal wouldnt let us lol (seriously!!).
    We all make mistakes sometimes
