    Default Video Converter

I've just come across a converter for AVI, MPEG and loads more. I've not tried it yet but the name is Xilisoft.

I won't be able to try it for a while as I won't be able to access my PC for a few days but if anyone can, let us know if it's any good.

I hope it can help someone.

    Regards,
    Tommy J

I'm assuming that this is posted in this section because you want to convert video to play on your mobile phone.

If so, why not try PocketDivxEncoder. Its freeware as well.

Tried Apocalypse suggestion last night and it worked fine and very quickly. Only thing is that the images are sh!te when playing on my moby. It's as if the pixels are still really big and you can't see any detail. (if you know what I mean):whistle

    Any ideas?

    Info Re: Video Converter

tommy, to sort that out make sure you have changed the bitrate of the output (.3gp) file to the same as the input (.avi, .mpeg etc) file. also keep the same FPS as the input file. u can also set the Same Quality option as True, the best thing to do is just to play about with the options until u are satisfied with the outcome. File sizes will obviously vary when you change the quality of the video to be outputted.

i have got a sony ericcson k750i, and have been playing around with movies on my phone. they seem to jump if the filesize is over about 10meg. does anyone else find this?

is it better to split a movie into say 10 parts than to have one large file?

    thanks for your help

I've found that on my 6600, especially if the I convert at a high bitrate then they just lock up completely. I watch films on my dvd player instead now
