    Default swf to avi conversion

I have a friend who has a load of swf files that he created that he needs to convert to avi. Anyone any ideas on how to do this and if possible free?

    Cheers in advance!

Not used it myself, but might be worth looking at. Trial version available and at the end of the day, it's only $30 for the full software (depending on how much he needs it!)

The only other way of doing it would be to export the swf out to a quicktime file using Flash, and then convert the quicktime file, but you are going to get a massive loss of quality

Cheers dynamit. The thing costs $99 though and the tests we have just done with the free download put a message across the middle of the avi. Doh! Back to the drawing board.

Thought you could only do it in there from the fla files and not the compiled swf. Is that not the case cos I ain't got it at work to try.

:whistle my mistake, sorry I didn't read it properly.

if the file isn't password protected I think you can open them back up but now i'm less sure!
