im a idiot , 2.6 ce help please v1.6

ive installed a 2.6 ce into a 1.6 and when i first booted it, it was great , i selected bios from dvd and put in dvd. the bios flashed and box turned off as normal..

but when i turned box back on, it frags,,

it switchs on and off 2 times then flashs red , no tv signal..

wrong bios init ?? , idiot..!

what bios did you flash it with,if you turn switch off does it boot ok, and also if you move the switch over to select the other bios, does the cromwell bios come back up

if i turn off chip , all works ok..
if i switch to other bank to try and boot from that , it does same.. frags..

not sure wot bios version is , its the bios ive been using for months with no probs , just probs with this 1.6... suppose i should of read up on it before i flashed..

If u can get access to another xbox or a programmer, u should flash the chip with EvolutionX M8plus Bios then it will work.......

sound like the Dzero wire may need resoldering and also go over your pinheader soldering could be dry joint

i have a programmer but its for 2.3 lite , can i use it with 2.6 ce and which bios do i flash ?
cheers for the help .. im more of a digi tv dude in here..

it cant be d0 m8 , it worked until i flashed bios with wrong bios... i just need to re- prog it with this if i can ?

i have used a 2.3 programmer on a 2.6 but the only problem i had was that the the wire for the switch's needed to be plugged in other than that everything was straight forward.

o yea , lol... had probs , tryin that now

programmer as 12 pins , my 2.6 ce as more , do i leave the top 4 empty ?

also getting sync error , is this my lead as it says ? when i turned off print spooler services in XP it seemed to read more of chip.. than before. still errors though :nono

right gettin somwhere , i can read with no errors..
but.. in tutorial it shows biosflash file being blown to bank 1 and then the actual bios in in bank 2.. why the flash ? why cant i just burn the bios i want on bank 1 and reinstall chip in xbox ?
