what tv program?

i'm realy scratching my head on this one

it was a court drama

the first "season" ran over 5 or 7 nights in 90 min or 2 hour chunks

it was a big law firm representing a client on a murder charge

a second season was made consisting of a number of 1 hour episodes featuring the trial of a popstar or actor.

i thought it was called murder one but i saw that a complete murder one series one is being released on dvd and is something like 40 episodes so obviously i was wrong.

does anyone have any idea what it was, i'd of said it was in the mid 90's but could have been earlier

The series you`re describing is Murder one, in the first series lawer Theodore Hoffman defends tycoon Richard Cross played by Stanley Tucci and in second series defends actor Neil Avedon who is hooked on drugs and booze, BTW great series

yeah thats deffinatly it, was murder one, looks like there were actualy quite a few, spent a while hunting through imdb this aft and i found several with the same title, sadly the dvd release isnt that one

and yes i thought the first one was excellent, wasnt as impressed with the second one though although the number of episodes suprises me i could swear it was shown over a week but 23 eps would have taken longer than that even if they ran 2 back to back every night.
