    Default pc3200 ddr 400mhz.

    morning,

    i have been looking around my pc lately. i have a p4 3.2ghz 1gb ram 250gb hard drive and a radeon 9600 256mb graphics card.

    my ram is pc3200 ddr 400mhz. now all the utilities i use to check my system tell me the ram is running at 200mhz. how can i increase this to 400mhz??

    secondly my motherboard is a asus P4SD-LA. my utilities tell me this about my FSB. how can i increse this speed from its current 200 to nearer 800

    It is the effective clock speeds that you should be interested in and they all seem to display correctly.

    what tool do you recommend for overclocking my processor? or is it really not worth it.

    I would leave it till you really need to unless you really fancy it. Been out of that game for a while as I currently have no need to OC. Worth making sure your cooling is up to it first. Sure there are others in here that can supply you with this info.
