Default ARGH! Rover immobiliser please help

I recently lost the keys and fob to my MG F (1995 N reg i think)

I got a new Key from the dealer and the EKA code so I could disable the immob and drive the vehicle to them to code a new fob..

I cant get the damn code to work... I've tried a couple of methods for entering (it involves turning the key lots of times in the drivers door lock. Can anyone shed any light on what I should be doing or how i can get round this ?

please help im going out of my mind with this, and im sure the neighbours think im nuts going out to the car, turning the key like 30 times then swearing and going back in the house.

    Any help appreciated !

I had to do this to my old Rover 214.

I think you had to unlock..

    Lock so many times
    Unlock so many times
    Lock so many times
    Unlock so many times

so after every time the key returns to the default position (vertical)

When you are successful the horn beeps a little.

If this doesn't work, reverse the process (lock first and then start the codes from an unlock).

Failing that I think you have a wrong code.

If the key turns are general across the Rover range I can post what's in my handbook, if that'll help...? (MG ZR 105)

    ENGINE IMMOBILISATION OVERRIDE

Before commencing, the starter switch must be turned off and the drivers door locked.

    1. Insert key into drivers door lock. Enter the FIRST digit of the code by turning the key to the UNLOCK position the number of times indicated by the first digit of the code.

FULLY return the key to the centre position after each turn.

    2. Turn the key to the LOCK position the number of times indicated by the second digit of the code. Remember to FULLY return the key to the centre position after each turn.

    3. Turn the key to the UNLOCK position the number of times indicated by the third digit of the code.

    4. Turn the key to the LOCK position the number of times indicated by the fourth digit of the code.

    IMPORTANT

Each turn of the key must be undertaken with care and precision. Ensure the key turns through the FULL extend of its travel and is FULLY returned to the centre position after each turn.

If the correct code has been entered the alarm indicator will stop flashing and illuminate for 1 second, immediately the key unlocks the door. A 5 minute time delay then commences during which the engine remains immobilised.

During the 5 minute delay DO NOT lock or unlock the doors using the remote handset or the key.

Once the 5 minute delay has expired the engine MUST BE STARTED within the next 10 minutes.

Don't forget the 5 minute delay before you unlock the door.
