    Default Champions League Predictions

As exciting a week of european football as I can remember. What are everyones predictions then?

Bayern Munich v Arsenal - Munich are missing Ballack but more importantly the Gunners are without Cole and Campbell at the back. A win for the Germans.

Liverpool v Bayer Leverkeusen - Without Gerrard and Morientes I don't see any better than a draw for the scousers but they'd probably be pretty happy with that. A dire 0 - 0 stalemate.

Barcelona v Chelsea - Chelsea are battered and bruised from the FA Cup against Newcastle and still no Robben. Bridge out for the season, Duff and Gallas also doubtful? Gotta be a Barcelona win all the way.

Manchester United v AC Milan - Schevchenko has a fractured cheekbone so may miss this, Planet Football are saying that the surgery he's undergone has been a success though. Regardless, United will do them by a couple of goals.

The games not involving british teams are as follows:

PSV v Monaco - Last years finalists will take this I think

Werder Bremen v Lyon - How are either of these still in the competition? Another french win but who cares?

Porto v Internazionale - Has to be Inter. Would like to see more of that Adriano in later rounds as well.

Real Madrid v Juventus - Biggest tie of the round unless you're affiliated with any of the other clubs. I see a draw.

Yes, Gerrard has hardly done anything the last few weeks and consequently nor have Liverpool. No bias, just plain common sense mate.

I see the last four as won two against the mighty Fulham and Charlton and lost two against Birmingham and the all conquering Southampton. Hardly the type of form to inspire confidence when you're about to play an in form (won their last seven of eight I heard on FiveLive today) european side of Leverkeusen's calibre.

What are you saying then? That Liverpool are better off without Gerrard tonight? Do me a favour, anyone who knows anything about football knows that they'll miss Gerrard tonight.

Very little bias from myself concerning the scousers nowadays anyway mate, all the best tonight but I maintain that they'll be happy with a draw considering their current squad problems.

Actually you must be counting the Watford (I mean, c'mon, Watford?) League Cup game as well to come up with 3 from 4 but to my knowledge if it weren't for Gerrard scoring the only goal in that game your only realistic chance of silverware this season might have dissappeared up the swanny.

I did not say that we would not miss Gerrard, but saying it was common sense to say we have not done anything while his form has been poor is a bit wide of the mark.

Anyway, back to topic - I do not thin we would be satisfied with a 0-0, our home football has been good to watch so far this season.

Now watch the above statement become the kiss of death as we watch the most boring 0-0 of the season.

It's business as usual for the Arse girls tonight. The big guns came out and went missing.
Yet again another horror tackle from an Arsenal player(Lauren) that should have seen red. Someone's gonna get seriously hurt by one of those soon. :grr:

Well done to Liverpool. Don't be so good Sunday.

Liverpool were classy and played with real passion, haven't been able to say that many times this season. And Biscan having a great game? A squadron of pigs just flew past my window.
I don't think the late goal will matter much either, as long as they don't reproduce the form they've displayed recently against Burnley, Birmingham and Southampton and reproduce the spirit and bit they displayed today they might even win the second leg as well.

Business as usual for the Gunners tonight. Munich look very, very good, I really don't see Arsenal getting the 2 - 0 win at highbury.

The Real v Juve game could still go either way.

Well 3-0 would have virtually got us in to the next round. Thx to dudeks clanger we probably will have to score over there. Still would have settled for this scoreline before the game and judging by Raffa's face at the end, dudeks days at LFC are truly numbered especially if we go out.

As for Arsenal they just can't seem to find their form in Europe. :nowords: Although I still fancy arsenal to win at highbury its the away goal that could be the final blow. Reverse situation to ours :whistle
