    Help Real Player HELP!!!!

    Hi

Hopefully someone can help - I am trying to insert a Real Player video clip into a Powerpoint presentation. I understand that I need to convert the file before I can do this. I have downloaded several free converters, but am still struggling with this..

Can anyone help out a complete berk??!!

Yup actually I do. If you used punctuation the way it's meant to be used we might have avoided this conflict. Dude.

    Lets analyse this.

Your own thoughts maybe, but not the rules of this forum that he has to introduce himself. Your quote "Nice intro Wrong section" suggests sarcasm and that's not what Jimmy is after. So cool it friend.

Who says we have a resident grammer school Teacher on the board.
As far as punctuation is concerned 99% of the board is badly punctuated, but how you choose to interperate it is another matter.

    Lets analyse this.

There's no evidence that he's not read the rules
There is also no evidence that i meant read. Its how English is spelled that makes it hard to interperate. lets spell it wrong as an example did i say reed or red.
So does this make it incorrect.
Not as i said it but how you choose to interperate it.

Your own thoughts maybe, but not the rules of this forum that he has to introduce himself.

Well these are my own thoughts and i still think it is a good thing to introduce yourself before asking for help.Rules of the board or not.

"Nice intro Wrong section" suggests sarcasm
    Not to me it doesnt

    "So cool it friend"

Sounds like antagonism to me Friend.

danthescan & shambles, both shut your traps, i think you BOTH have the wrong section for that type of natter. If you have nothing to contribute towards the topic at hand, dont post. We have the karma buttons for good and bad posts

Anyway, back the the original question...
    have you tried wildform flix?
    http://www.wildform.com/

I needed to do the same thing a little while back and remember this sorting it out for me, i believe I just converted it to quicktime and it was happy. Let me know which bit you get stuck on and I'll try to help.

    Guys

Blimey sorry, I know that it would have been good etiquette to intro myself first, was just under the cosh to get this thing sorted tbh.

I will post an intro later, in the meantime I will look at the Wildform thingo.

    Cheers.

I really appreciate your input - yep I probably just can't work a converter Marcode, no hanging offence I hope??!!

When I originally tried to insert the file into Powerpoint I got this message:

"unable to insert file, verify that file and path name are correct"

Having then downloaded an RM Converter and attempted to convert the file I got this message:

"specified file is not a video file or format is not supported"

So there you go..a simple task probably, but not for this idiot...

    Cheers

    Jimmy
