codenamed "hollywood" ati's new photorealistic graphics chipset is confirmed as the graphisc workhorse for the upcoming gamecube compatable console codenamed the revolution the hdtv capable chipset can reproduce hollywood stile movie effects in realtime to produce gams of stunning quality, linked to ibm's new "broadway" processor to ensure the revolution can more than hold its own in the next gen stakes the revolution will offer a totaly new gaming experience.
combined with its ability to connect to the gba family of consoles by cable or wireless and connection to the nds console it also has inbuilt wifi for online play as standard the wifi on the revolution will allow it to link in to the upcoming international FREE wifi network for the nds (q4 2005/q1 2006 except europe).
with its unique wireless controllers containing inbuilt touchscreens the revolution realy is taking gaming to the next level although there is still some concern that its processing power may leave it behind the xbox 2's 3core processor (but inferior graphics chip) and the quadruple "cell" processors in the blue-ray disc equipped ps3 (although its worth pointing out at this point that the cell processor comes in many versions from basic ones to use in mobile phones to super ones for use in high end pc's, the ps2 versions will fall somewhere between the two)
