1, 3, 4, 6. how do i get 24 as the result?

ok.. somone asked me this earlier and its beginning to piss me off now.

does anyone have an answer:

you can use each of these numbers only once: 1, 3, 4, 6. and you can use any operator: + - * /

the aim is to get 24.

im sure its something dead simple... but im shite at maths.

no m8, i think bm is right tho. i think its a trick question, ie.. you can only use each digit once, but it seems you have to join 2 together.

3/4 = 3/4

1- 3/4 is 4/4 - 3/4 which is 1/4

then you have 6 and divide that by 1/4

which is effectively 6 x 4 =24 !!!! easy !!!

edit:

bit more 'user friendly':

3/4 = 0.75

1-0.75 = 0.25

6/0.25 = 24 ! :whistle
